Progression

The Early Game

Basic info

Click to show info

To become stronger in the game one must kill monsters or mobs to obtain "EP" and more "max magicules".

The stronger the "monster" you kill, the more EP one obtains. By default, and without any skills modifying it, you will gain 3% of a mobs ep when you kill it.

As a Non-Majin, 2/3 of gained EP will be converted to AP, with 1/3 going to MP. This is reversed as a Majin, gaining 2/3 MP and 1/3 AP.

How to get armor/weapons?

If you killed a few monsters, you can also obtain something called "Monster Leather" which you can use to make different kinds of Monster Leather Armor which evolves as you gain EP.

...But to make Monster Leather Armor you must obtain a Smithing Bench. This special crafting table requires 2 iron, 3 paper, a crafting table and 2 planks.

There is a skill called Magic Sense which grants night vision. It additionally allows you to see mobs through walls, which can be used to locate caves by the concentrations of mobs that spawn within.
For offensive skills, eating 100 Rotten Flesh to obtain Corrosion or 100 Spider Eyes to obtain Poison offer easy-to-use upgrades.

How do I continue?

About Magic Ore

Now that you understand how to get Monster Leather Armor, your next major step in progression sits after vanilla diamond gear.
This is because now you need to obtain a diamond pickaxe to get obsidian.

Tip: get around 19 Obsidian (10 for Nether Portal, 4 for enchantment table, 5 for Kiln)
Or if you like speedrunning, get 9 obsidian for the Kiln and Enchanting Table and make the portal with a lava lake :D

Now why would you need a Diamond Pickaxe? Well, you will need to obtain a Netherite Pickaxe and a Netherite Ingot!
However if you use ice and fire, you can make a Dragon Bone Pickaxe

After you've gotten your netherite pickaxe, it is highly recommended to get fortune to get more "magic ore" while mining.
You can find Magic Ore between -25 and -31, however the "best" y level on average is -29.

Mid game

Now that you've gotten your magic ore and netherite ingot you can make a Kiln and smelt all the magic ore to obtain a low magisteel ingot.

However, you will need a lot more to get the full magisteel armor...

Now you can focus on getting evolutions, as a tip in mid game you can go into the nether and slay piglins, zombie piglins and wither skeletons.

Training

About "gaining more power"

If you have skills like predator, you can steal skills like Sage to be quicker in leveling up your skills. Or you can also get Sage by mastering 20 magics/battlewills (for example: 9 magic mastered, 11 battlewills mastered)

However if you do not have any predatory skills or you want even MORE power, you can also pray at the Labyrinth Tree (for location, see labyrinth tree page)

Then you can pray at the spirit tree to gain spirits, you can summon them if they are medium or above (Exceptions: dark spirit and light spirit) using the Summon Medium Elemental and Summon Greater Elemental.

Tip: if you have a predatory skill you can steal the spirits their skills (and maybe resistances, depends on your skill).

About evolutions

Bosses (Part 1: Early/Mid game)

About the beginning bosses

Bosses are mobs that can spawn anywhere in the world. It can be a boss that you can encounter in any biome like the Supermassive Slime, Hinata, Shizu (and more!)... Or bosses that live in specific biomes like the Orc Lord that can transform into the Orc Disaster
Below are all the bosses you can fight at early to mid game

Orc Lord

An evolved royal orc with increased strength, the Orc Lord is an early midgame boss. It is able to spawn in orcs as subordinates, and its attacks deal Corrosion, which can easily shred through armor if you are not careful. When killed, it has a chance to drop Royal Blood and Pork. You will also be able to learn the common skill Corrosion.

Shizu

An otherworlder who has the Greater Spirit Ifrit bound to her. Shizu is a late midgame boss, while her first phase is simple with little offensive or defensive capabilities, her second phase upon "dying" spawns Ifrit, who is highly resistant to physical attacks. It is advised to have Bypass/Degrade Skills or Magic for this fight. Upon defeating Ifrit, you will get ifrits drops, and a dying Shizu, who will drop the Anti-Magic Mask and Anti-Magic Mask Schematic.

Supermassive Slime

The Supermassive Slime has a chance to spawn in place of a normal slime. It is an early midgame boss, which deals corrosion damage(not the corrosion effect). If you have Corrosion Resistance or Corrosion Nullification, you will remove its main method of attack. It also has Ultraspeed Regen, so it is ideal to use a skill that attacks its Spiritual HP or an item/skill that can apply severance to prevent Ultraspeed Regen from fully working. Supermassive Slime will drop Slime Core and Slime Chunk when killed.

You can also create your own pet Supermassive Slime by feeding a Slime Slime Cores.

Late game

The final grind

About awakenings

Awakenings are evolutions players can undergo to get even more power... It is heavily reccomended to do this once you have a million or more ep. This is because you will need this boost very VERY badly in LATE game, not when you got 400k ep, not when you got 600k, do it after a million or more EP.
See what awakenings do in Awakenings

"I want to get stronger faster!" (about EP farming late game)

There are multiple ways to grind for EP in the mid-to-late game. None are particularly fast- as with the rest of the mod, EP takes time and grinding to get.
Known EP farms:

  • Enderman farm
    • An ordinary enderman farm in the end, this is slow but good for AFK farming.
  • Sissie farming
    • Here you simply go into a broad ocean and start hunting for sissie's. Due to their immense amount of EP you can easily get EP
  • Boss fighting
    • Like the name implies, fighting any boss rewards relatively high amounts of EP. See the above list for examples.

About Bosses (Part 2: Mid/Late Game)

When am I ready to fight end game bosses?

It's reccomended to farm EP until you have roughly 2 million or more EP, as most bosses include stat-check attacks to kill underleveled players and prevent unintended progression skips. Additionally, ensure that the skills you use are mastered- the power increase is notable.
For some healing items, you can always look into Consumables and Hipokute -both offer healing if your abilities can't keep up.

End game bosses include Hinata Sakaguchi, Orc Disaster and Charybdis.

About Bosses

Orc Disaster

One of the first end game bosses one can fight is the Orc Disaster.
This boss is one of the weaker end bosses but one of the strongest mid game bosses on the list but is a nice warmup to what the endgame has in store.

To find this boss, one must find an Orc Lord and make it "gain" 200k ep. An easy way to do this is feeding it subordinates with high ep count to reach that number (for example: Endowed Knight Spiders). However, make sure that the subordinates do not kill the Orc Lord (you can prevent this by making them stay at their position)
After this has been done, the Orc Lord will evolve into the Orc Disaster, and then you can fight this boss.

See the Orc Disaster page for rewards/more information

Charybdis

Charybdis can either be the first or last of the endgame bosses you fight, depending on how lucky you get while searching for the Charybdis Core. You can find these in Charybdis Cave. Charybdis Cores will enable you to spawn Charybdis by placing it and killing mobs to charge it with EP. You can quickly charge this core by endowing a knight spider or giant ant and then killing it to fill the core to almost full instantly. Once the core is charged, right click on it to spawn Charybdis. It is recommended to spawn Charybdis inside of a cave to prevent her from flying away, or using a ranged attack with high damage such as Darkness Cannon. Once you kill Charybdis she will drop the Charybdis Scalemail Schematic, Charybdis Scale's and Raw Charybdis Meat.

Gazel Dwargo

Gazel Dwargo, the king of the dwarves, is a mid to late late game boss, being relatively weaker than Hinata Sakaguchi. In order to fight Gazel Dwargo you must attain either 100 positive reputation through trading with and protecting Dwarfs or attain 100 negative reputation by attacking/killing dwarfs. While negative reputation is faster and simpler to achieve, it locks you into a single fight against him, as well as locking dwarf trades. Positive Reputation allows you to fight him an unlimited amount of times, as well as making dwarf trades cheaper. Once you have fulfilled the requirement to fight him, you must use the royal warp pad that spawns rarely in Dwarf Villages to enter his arena. He has two phases, his first phase focusing on using magical attacks and his weapon, the second phase focusing on utilising his exclusive battlewills. When defeated, Gazel will drop his weapon Rhuk and his exclusive battlewill Plum Blossoms - Five Petals Thrust.

Hinata Sakaguchi

Hinata is a boss that spawns in specific biomes, summoning all Greater Spirits to assist her in battle. She also activates Fault Field to become temporarily unhittable by non-spiritual/spatial/mental damage. She will clear the severance effect with Spatial Cleanse. She attacks using her Dead End Rainbow during her first phase. If she uses her Melt Slash ability, she will stop using Dead End Rainbow and use Moonlight instead. She may also activate Disintegration, which will instakill no matter what if it hits you. Hinata has a lot of resistance and nullification skills, so it is ideal to fight her with Bypass/Degrade Skills. When she is defeated, she has a chance to drop her weapons and Holy Armorments boots, chestplate and leggings. More information can be found on Hinata Sakaguchi.
