Getting Started

1. Create your character

TSR is built around Tensura's Reincarnation and race systems. Your starting race is the beginning of a progression path, not a permanent power ceiling.

Some extremely powerful race paths are intentionally not available as ordinary random starter outcomes. They are reserved for later progression so one lucky roll cannot invalidate the campaign.

2. Learn the three core resources

  • EP is the base mod's broad progression and power indicator. See Existence Points for the upstream mechanics and version context.
  • Magicules and Aura are distinct resources used by supernatural systems. See EP, Magicule, Aura.
  • Skills define what your character can do. Browse the skill directories for individual effects and classifications.

See Skills, EP & Magicules.

For the base mod's full opening flow, use the local Getting Started reference.

3. Do not rush the quest book

The planned FTB campaign begins with Act 0 — Welcome, Otherworlder, which explains the major systems before opening the first real progression branches.

The campaign is designed to reveal systems as you encounter them rather than display hundreds of locked quests immediately.

4. Build, explore, or specialize

After the opening progression, players can branch toward:

  • Adventurer/Guild progression
  • Race and skill mastery
  • Gear Evolution and forging
  • Magic
  • Unique Monster hunting
  • MineColonies and nation building
  • Boss progression
  • Dimension exploration
  • Prestige and Soul Grade
  • True Hero / True Demon Lord / Ascension paths

5. Protect your home

FTB Teams and FTB Chunks provide the primary team/claim system. Tensura Compat: FTB makes those protections aware of destructive Tensura mechanics.

See Teams & Claims.
