Additional Direwolf features
Leader: In a pack, after the Alpha is killed, another Direwolf will become the leader, and the pack follows it. If the Leader is named, all other members in the pack is also named, the naming cost is multiplied. Leader choosing is based on this piority [Alpha - Used to Leader - Higher Evolution - Bigger Size - Star - Normal - Baby]
- a leader can be named after being permanently mind controlled
Spawning Info
Wolf pack: When a pack of Direwolf spawns:
- 70% to be Direwolf
- 30% to be evolved wolf: Black Fang - 40%, Elemental Fang - 65%, Tempest - 10%
- Star birthmarked wolf can only be found in Tempest pack, 1 in 8 chance, make the total chance of this wolf being 1/533.
- In any pack, a wolf has 10% to be a mini-boss(Alpha as mentioned above) (bigger, stronger and has a scar over its eye like the anime)
When evolved, all Direwolves grow in size (50% larger?), elemental fanged wolves gain distinct marks on their bodies. A tempest wolf gains a horn on its forehead, and a tempest star wolf's white mane grows in size. A tempest star wolf can be evolved again through a Demon Lord Harvest Festival.
Once a tempest star wolf evolves, it grows larger yet again(+50% to a total of 200%), and gains the ability to fly. Tempest star wolves gain the extra skill Black Lightning, which replaces Coercion as its mount skill when at its maximum size.
A full-sized tempest star wolf is also capable of being ridden by two players, similar to a Camel. While riding the Tempest Star Wolf, use jump (default space) while in mid air to start flying as well as ascend while flying, and use the Mound Descend key to descend (default V).
Item Use
You can use a chest on a Direwolf similar to a Donkey to give it chest sized inventory, opened by opening your inventory while riding the direwolf. Cosmetically the direwolf gains a pouch to either side as well as a strap holding them to its body.
Breeding
Now when breeding Direwolf, the baby will have 5% chance to be Tempest Wolf for each Tempest Wolf parent.
If succeed, the baby tempest wolf will have 1/8 chance to be Star-birthmarked for each Star-birthmarked parent.
If failed, the baby will have random elemental.
If both parents are elemental, the baby will have a random elemental from the parents.
Special Skins
Naming an evolved tempest wolf "Guitar" (case insensitive) changes the appearance of the Direwolf to one with extremely mangy fur, loosing the white mane. The skin is a reference to Guitar Wolf.
Similarly, naming a tempest wolf (normal/evolved) "Momo" or "Memoires" (case insensitive) results in a Direwolf with light blue fur, orange highlights, as well as a teal horn. This skin was added for the staff member 'memoires' because of a challenge he won in the beta phase of the mod, one of the developers for the mod 'minheragon' confirmed that 'memoires' made the texture himself.
